Dear Elector,
“I’m extremely proud and feel honoured to have been selected by local party members to stand as the candidate in this year’s Local Council Elections. As always I will do all I can to make a difference for local people and for our local area.”
Since being elected in 2007 I have fought on many local issues affecting our area including road improvements, successfully secured funding to protect and maintain local facilities such as Longknowle Library & Community Centre and supported the transfer of Chesterton Road Adventure Playground building to the community ensuring it remains open for use, more recently I have supported new housebuilding programmes in our area social & affordable housing is vitally important for our local families. As well as personally taking up 100’s of issues on behalf of residents, as a team we regularly deliver newsletters and hold three casework surgeries a month. We also support local community groups and we regularly attend their meetings.
I believe it is the responsibility of the council to maintain & deliver quality services for our local area.
We must also create the right environment to bring about future investment, growth and jobs for the local
economy. If I’m re-elected I pledge I will continue to campaign and work with fellow Councillors Steve Evans
and Ian Brookfield on behalf of all residents to fight for improvements and get the best deal for our area.
