The Leader of the Council, Roger Lawrence, joined with the Managing Director and Leader of the Opposition to reiterate Wolverhampton’s commitment to tackling hate crimes in a public statement issues 30th June:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWolverhampton is proud to be a city that respects and values diversity. Racism, xenophobia and hate crimes have no place in our city, region or country. We the City of Wolverhampton Council condemn all forms of racism, xenophobia and hate crimes unequivocally and stand firmly against those who wish to divide us.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are working to ensure that statutory organisations and local communities are aware that they have our active support so that together we can prevent and tackle racism, xenophobia and hate crime wherever we find it.<\/span><\/p>\n
