Phil Bateman

Phil Bateman was first elected to represent Wednesfield North ward on 3rd May 2012

Phil previously served Wednesfield North as a Councillor for 22 years on Cityof Wolverhampton Council, and before that  five years on the West Midlands County Council.

He is the Chair of Governors at Ashmore Park Nursery School,  as well as being the former Chair of Wolverhampton Business Champions which he held for seven years. He is a former Mayor of the City of Wolverhampton, raising almost £30,000 for charity and received an MBE for ‘services to public transport in the West Midlands’.

Phil is supported by the Co-operative Party and supports co-operative principles.
