Ian was first elected to serve Bushbury North in 2011 and was returned with an increased majority in 2015.

Ian was born and raised in Wolverhampton and is proud of his home city. He is a passionate sports fan and a season ticket holder at the Wolves. With a professional background in the public, private and charitable sectors, including a spell working for a Labour MP and Minister, Ian understands how national and local government works.

Since 2011 Ian has hosted over 150 advice surgeries in the ward and has directly helped or advised over 1250 local residents. He has led on a series of high profile campaigns which included blocking plans for a 328ft high incinerator on Wobaston Road. He is now campaigning to save The Harrowby Arms and to stop proposals for a new bypass road near Moseley Old Hall.
