Cllr Roger Lawrence joined with the TUC and other guests on 28th April at the cenotaph in Wolverhampton to commemorate Workers’ Memorial Day.

This year’s theme was Good health and safety for all workers whoever they are and focussed on inequalities in occupational health and the role unions play in narrowing the inequalities gap; hidden and new “gig economies”, the risks faced by migrant workers and the issues of gender and class.

Cllr Lawrence also highlighted the TUC’s ‘Dying to Work’ Charter, which the council has recently signed up to.
