Local elections took place across the City of Wolverhampton last night and it proved to be a great night for us as we gained two seats (in the Penn & Spring Vale wards) and held every seat we defended.

Ballots took place in the 20 wards across the city and in the Oxley and Graiseley, two councillors were elected due to a by-election taking place in addition to the usual election.

The outstanding results are a testament to our diverse and talented members and their hard work, dedication and experience of working in the community.

On behalf of the Leader and the group, thank you to all candidates and agents involved in this year’s election  and  a warm welcome to our newly elected ward Councilors including Jasbinder Dehar (Blakenhall), Alan Butt (Bushbury North), Beverley Momenabadi (Ettingshall) Asha Mattu (Graisley),  Sue Roberts (Oxley), Clare Simm (Oxley), Celia Hibbert (Penn), Barbara McGarrity (Spring Vale) and Obaida Ahmed (St Peter’s).  We look forward to working with you over the coming years to secure the best outcomes for the residents of Wolverhampton.
