Fly‑tipping is a blight on our neighbourhoods – and that’s why your Labour council is investing more than £250,000, on top of everything we already do, to crack down hard on those who dump rubbish illegally and disrespect our city
The additional £257,146 funding will deliver:
– Extra enforcement officers out on our streets
– Six new cameras for fly‑tipping hotspots
– Stronger investigations, faster fines and more prosecutions
– More power to protect our communities and keep our streets clean and safe
This will build on the pioneering work we are already doing as Council to combat fly tipping across Wolverhampton:
• £1,000 fines for offenders
• CCTV, drones and vehicle‑crushing
• 57 fixed penalties issued last year
• 17 successful prosecutions
• Warrants, vehicle seizures and ongoing cases heading to court
• Fly‑tipping falling in Wolverhampton, even as it rises nationally
