Vote to to reverse 83% increase in Meals on Wheels prices

Labour Councillor Steve Evans moved the following motion at Full Council on 17th March 2010:

"This Council resolves to recommend the Cabinet reverse the Conservative/Lib Dem administration’s 83% increase on Meals on Wheels prices this financial year. We condemn the rise from £2.40 to £4.40 per meal per day and the effect this will have on the less well off members of our society.

The rise should be limited to 2%."

This motion was seconded by Cllr Manohar Minhas.
