Vote to save the Visitor Information Centre

Labour Councillor John Reynolds moved the following motion at Full Council on 3rd February 2010:

"This Council opposes the decision of the Cabinet and the agreement of the Scrutiny Board to close the city’s Visitor Information Centre in Queen Square.

 Wolverhampton is the only Visitor Information Centre in the Black Country and its closure will lead to a diminution of publicity for the city. It will put Wolverhampton further behind Birmingham in the perceived West Midlands pecking order.

 4.6 million visitors come to Wolverhampton and spend over £200 million.

 The closure of the Visitor Information Centre sends completely the wrong message about the determination of the city to grow and develop.

This Council demands that the Cabinet rescinds the decision to move and scale down the Visitor Information Centre and formally agrees to continue funding of the centre at its present location in Queen Square."

This motion was supported by all Labour Councillors but how did the Conservative and Liberal Democrat Councillors vote? Did they vote to save the Visitors Information Centre?
